The system offers full reference and reader's advisory services
as well as a wide range of materials including books, newspapers, magazines, maps, archival materials and books
on tape and video. With programs for all ages including the Summer Reading Program and lunch sessions to discuss
local legends, there is truly something at the library for everyone. The library system circulates over 120,000
items annually and visitors come from as far away as Canada and the United Kingdom to conduct research in the Central
Library's Special Collections.

Wallace State College Library
in Hanceville has a collection of over 45,000 volumes.
Wallace State's library is known for its genealogical research holdings. Its archival collections include some
papers of the late Alabama Governor James E. "Big Jim" Folsom, Sr. It also boasts an excellent health
science collection as well multiple computer databases for research.
The Alabama Virtual Library
The Alabama Virtual Library (AVL) making thousands of books, magazines, encyclopedias and other databases
available in every public library, public school and college in the state via the Internet. CCPLS, Wallace State
Library and the public schools of Cullman County make the AVL available to their users - home access is
available through cards obtained at the public library.
